Before You Start

Entering Your Data
1. Serving Information
The serving size is crucial - it determines how all other values are interpreted.
Format: Use household measure + metric weight
Good examples:
- 1 cup (240g)
- 2 tablespoons (30g)
- 3 cookies (34g)
- 1 slice (28g)

Understanding the Preview
%Daily Value
The %DV shows how much a nutrient contributes to a daily diet:
- 5% DV or less = Low
- 20% DV or more = High
Automatic Rounding
Values are rounded per FDA rules:
- Small amounts may show as "0"
- This is normal and FDA-compliant
Exporting Your Label

Troubleshooting
"Please enter a serving size"
You must enter a serving size before exporting. This is required for all nutrition labels.
Values showing as 0
Small amounts are displayed as 0 per FDA rounding rules. For example:
- Less than 5 calories = 0 calories
- Less than 0.5g fat = 0g fat
%DV not showing
Some nutrients (Trans Fat, Total Sugars, Protein) don't have %DV requirements.
